Ten years after his last solo release, artist and songwriter Tor Kvammen is back with new music. This time with the long-awaited debut album "Beauty will save us", which will be released on May 2, 2025.

The album was produced by Nicolai Herwell and Tor Kvammen, and recorded in Tor's own living room in the summer of 2024. All ten tracks on the album were written by Tor Kvammen. Mixing and mastering were done by Nicolai Herwell. In addition to vocals, Tor contributes on keyboards, guitar, percussion, drums and percussion grand piano in the recording.

Tor's musical expression moves from melodic folk to experimental indie pop, where atmospheric vocal arrangements and dreamy instrumental parts are built around his characteristic melodies and singing voice. "Beauty will save us" is a concept album about life as a journey of development. First inward, to the mysteries of the self and to the search for identity and self-knowledge, as in the almost mystical songs "I wanna know" and "The melody of your song", and then searching outward, towards nature, meaning and belonging, as in the more folk-inspired "Perfect Silence" and "Horizon". The journey moves towards a hopeful conclusion in the album's magnificent closing songs "I won't hide" and "Beauty will save us".
